2018–2020 Pre-doctoral Instructor, University of Washington
Designed 100- and 200-level writing courses with a linguistic, poetic, and multi-genre focus. Taught classes of 20+ students. Gave detailed feedback on students’ work.
Summer 2018 Chinese Interpreter & Guide
Gave tours of Yellowstone National Park, Grand Tetons National Park to Chinese-speaking tourists for Horizon Travel Group.

Wrote author biographies and item/series descriptions. Organized collections. Standardized archival records according to Describing Archives: A Content Standard.

Other

  • Served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in southern Taiwan (2013–2015), while learning Chinese Mandarin and Taiwanese.
